This group of kiddos, nestled in the Great North Woods of NH are an energetic group of individuals thirsting for knowledge and adventure. They have spent the last five years taking in the basic fundamentals of learning as they head toward the middle years of their academics careers.
Building life long, healthy relationships is continued using a resource so endearing to our community, the White Mountain National forest, fostering a love of learning outside the four walls of a classroom.
My Project
The students will meet at the Highland Center located in Crawford Notch, NH. They will learn to pack backpacks safely for an overnight trip as well as learning to share the load of food needed for lunches that day.
This outdoor excursion will facilitate an environment where our kiddos will develop the skills to depend upon one-another.
Students will participate in team based activities, in addition to reading maps, compasses and taking note of the environment around them.
The outdoor classroom provides an opportunity for many of our kids to shine in ways they may not be able to within the four walls of a classroom.
