My Students

I believe I have the best job in the world! I have 23 smart, hardworking, outstanding 5th graders whom I adore! Due to Covid my students have developed empathy, compassion and knowledge way beyond their years. However Covid has also put our students behind in academics. We are working so hard to catch the students up to the level they need to be at to be successful academically. As we work to do this it also brings a real sense of anxiety, stress and frustration to the students. So much is expected of them and we are pushing them to levels they in the past have never seen. Resources are desperately needed to assist us as teachers in providing the best opportunities possible.

The students are succeeding in ways that amaze me as a teacher.

We will come out of this pandemic stronger and better. We need your help!! Thank you!

My Project

Due to COVID 19 the students have fallen behind academically. By pulling in every resource possible to help them succeed is essential. The learning apps available to them will help them engage and learn skills that otherwise they are unable to learn. I have purchased a new animation app that will assist in reading, science and math. Right now I only have 1 device available to the students and it is impossible to be effective in a class of 23. 4 more devices would allow us to use the resources in a center that would be used daily. I am confident these resources will help the students find the success we are working so hard for!
