Help me give my students a developmentally appropriate learning experience with visual representations that assist them with understanding concepts.

Students at my school have a variety of abilities and interests. We aim to grow their brains by providing them with meaningful academic experiences at school. We use a workshop model that allows teachers to reach all students at a level they need. I encourage a growth mindset in my classroom. We can ALWAYS be better!
As a First Grade Teacher, I strive to instill a love for learning all subjects within my students.
We are never too young to have well rounded minds. I recognize that in order to be interested, students must be interested in the content they are learning and the way it is presented to them. This is is an important component of being an effective teacher for my young students.
While teaching young students, concrete (things you can see) manipulatives (things you can touch) are crucial to student understanding. I hope to increase the amount of resources I have to help solidify concepts, skills, and strategies taught to my students. Before starting projects and investigations, I must be sure that students are able to grasp basic concepts on which we build.
In order to be an effective teacher, the materials I have access to are just as important as the materials for the students!
I use them to help introduction and discuss what they are learning. Students would be able to be more interactive with me, each other, and the content. In this round, I am looking to improve my instruction through visual representations of content.
I would achieve this using Giant manipulatives that students are able to see clearly during discussion (Giant Magnetic Teaching Manipulatives, Giant Magnetic Geometric Shape, Giant Magnetic Visual Models Chart, Giant Magnetic Graph & Array Chart, Magnetic Teaching Clock). I would also do this by using items that students can interact with during learning time (Giant Geometric Shapes, Giant Soft Dice - Set of 6, Math Balance). A large focus for this DonorsChoose.org project is math because it is a very abstract subject. I hope that you are willing to help me be the best teacher I can possibly be!
