My Students
My students are intelligent, wonderful children who come into the classroom each day ready to learn and be challenged. I teach in a rural, agricultural area. Many of my students do not have access to technology or Internet outside of my classroom.
More than 75% of our students receive free or reduced rate lunch.
I teach at a Title I school where our school population is made up of 50% Hispanic, 40% Caucasian, and 10% African American students. Being from a rural area many of my students do not have access to computers or internet outside of the classroom.
My Project
The world we live in today is driven by technology. I believe that it is important to equip my students with technology skills just as we equip them with math and reading skills.
My students will use the Chromebook in our classroom to improve their reading skills, complete research for social studies projects, and STREAM projects.
There are so many possibilities for classroom enrichment through technology.
Not only will the Chromebook offer new ways of learning for my students but it will also help prepare them for the end of the year state testing by getting the students used to using computers.
