This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are all wonderful. This is a group of 3rd graders who are on the cusp of technology and real-world events. They mostly come from middle to low-income homes. Our school is a Title I school, and all students receive free breakfast and free lunch.
My students are hard workers and they all have a genuine desire to learn.
They study hard and they strive for excellence on all assignments. They constantly show me their appreciation each day by giving me a hug as they enter or exit the room.
I am the lucky one to be teaching them. They inspire me with their eagerness. They are awesome.
My Project
The tablets will enhance and broaden the learning spectrum for my students. Inside the classroom, there will be a technology center where the students can go to expand upon the subject being taught. If they are learning about U.S. government, they will be able to go to a website and watch videos, read articles, and complete other activities related to U.S. government.
My students are innovators and they love discovering new things.
The tablets will allow this innovation to come to the forefront of their learning and take them to worlds that they would not normally see. They can use the tablets to take a virtual field trip to Paris. This will make a huge difference in how they learn.
