My Students
My student's families have chosen to send their child to our school, because we are a school of choice. The families at our school are middle class families. We do not have wealthy parents who donate large amounts of money for the "extras", and we are not a Title I school. Therefore, we do not have extra funding coming in and we must perform on the budget we are allotted. We are a high performing school. Our students work hard each day, we have devoted teachers, and their parents support their learning at home. It is a wonderful place to be a teacher.
My Project
My students will learn how to keyboard, use apps, and begin the first stages of learning Google Docs. Students will also be instructed in learning Internet safety. Students will be able to create movies, work in teams, and play games that correlate with the common core standards.
A well prepared teacher teaching technology is key to successful lesson planning.
The Chromebook in class will help me prepare in advance for the student, when using the school's roving cart class set. I will be better prepared to teach the students, which will help them in their future in this technology society.
