My students have big goals and big dreams.
They're curious, they like exploring and they love to learn. Unfortunately, with a 50% free and reduced lunch population and limited funding available, the need to request help is necessary! These kids need to be prepared for the real world and I believe that the exposure of more technology in the classroom will aid in that process.
My students receive instruction in a variety of ways so that regardless of a child's ability level, they still have the opportunity to be successful. Small groups, peer learning, learning stations and whole group instruction are just a few ways that I try to accommodate my students.
My Project
With these requested Apple iPad mini 2 tablets and protective cases, students will not only have the exposure to all the benefits that technology gives them, but they will also learn important social skills. Because I am only requesting two iPads, students will have to learn things such as sharing, time management, appropriate care of technology and how to work with a team.
With the addition of two Apple iPads to my classroom, my students will have the opportunity to use technology more frequently which will only enhance their daily lessons.
This will be especially advantageous to students who do not have this exposure at home, which will better prepare them for their future.
