This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Teaching gifted students is very similar to herding cats! They like to go in all different directions and they all feel as if their way is the only way.

Gifted students think outside the box and they are happiest when they can be creative!

When students are able to complete projects and show their creativity, they flourish and succeed. I love teaching these kids and I wish that I had unlimited funds to buy them the materials and products they love to use when they complete assignments or projects. Unfortunately, my school is a Title I school, which means the kids don't have the money to buy items they need to succeed.

My Project

One thing that constantly changing is technology and how we use it in the classroom. Every year we have more websites that we can use and our textbooks have been online for about three years, even though we don't have enough computers for our students.

If I had enough laptops for each student the success rate in their test scores alone would increase!

I have some laptops but with the addition of the ones I am requesting there will be almost enough for all students to use at once. With the addition of these laptops my students will be able to use the different applications on a daily basis instead of just every few weeks.
