Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are a lively group who love to learn! I am always looking for new ways to keep them engaged and excited. They have so much potential, but don't always have the resources necessary to make great strides.
Because integrating technology is so important for creating 21st century learners, this is a focal point in our classroom.
I am looking forward to providing new opportunities for students to connect with learning using engaging devices, applications, and games. Will you join me in supporting their progress?
My Project
Student access to technology at school is so important! With the Common Core's shift toward tech-savvy, literate, and critical thinking students, now more than ever students need opportunities to interact with technology. Access to an iPad at school would allow for increased learning opportunities outside of the computer lab. They can work together to research, present ideas, or even play learning games.
Not only will students be able to work collaboratively using the iPad, but it will also allow me as the teacher to stay organized.
With the wide range of applications available for the iPad, I can inventory my classroom library, check books in and out, connect the device to the projector for teaching display purposes, and so much more. I can't wait to discover even more uses for the iPad and expand the learning opportunities in the classroom!
