This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are the future of our community and our world. These students from Illinois attend a school grounded in the arts that opens up their way of looking at things and solving problems from a different viewpoint.
They come from little, but can become so much if given the opportunity all children should have access to.
My students are active, energetic, excited, and face more as a six or seven-year-old than some face in a lifetime. These are wonderful students who should have equitable resources.
My Project
In these unprecedented times, teachers are searching for new ways to teach children from home. Our students need innovative ways to keep learning and stay in touch with their peers and teachers.
I need to turn a part of my home into a classroom where I can teach my students through virtual learning using platforms such as YouTube, Zoom, and DoJo for communication and videos for learning.
These supplies will allow me to teach my students through video lessons for posting on DoJo, YouTube, and zoom, and use supplies they are used to working with. It allows me to teach children from home so their parents don't have the burden of continuing education on their own.
