Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The school that I teach in is very diverse and multicultural. We have students who come from various districts and towns. The students vary in socioeconomic status and backgrounds. Many of my students struggle with difficult situations at home, and my classroom serves as a comfortable, constant, and safe place to learn and feel loved.
My students deserve to have a safe and fun place to learn through experiences and play.
My classroom contains 27 elementary school children who are absolutely amazing. They are in need of supplies in their classroom that help foster their love of reading and math as well as resources that help them focus.
My Project
Seat sacks help keep the classroom organized and materials within reach. We will use these to keep the flow of our lessons going without having to stop to grab books, crayons, pencils, etc.
These seat sacks will help the students learn to be responsible for their things.
In kindergarten, we are not just teaching them to read and write, we want them to start learning how to be responsible for their supplies, their work, and themselves. Seat sacks are a great way to encourage this behavior.
Please help us continue our learning experience with these wonderful seat sacks. Thank you!
