I teach 24 eager third graders that all have a love of learning! I teach a diverse group of learners who love hands-on, engaging projects that allow them to think creatively. My students come to school each day ready to take risks in order to grow in their educational journey.
My students come from various backgrounds and experiences and come together in my classroom ready to learn from each other both academically and personally.
My students are all truly amazing. They teach me new things every day and they all deserve the very best educational opportunities!
My Project
My students have a love of reading. In order to foster that, I want to provide them with diverse, culturally relevant, engaging texts that they can learn life lessons through. Currently, my classroom library is full of books that are outdated and falling apart. I want my students to be excited about reading and learning.
Texts like I Am Enough by Grace Byers will teach my students to love who they are, to respect others, and to be kind to one another.
With these books, students will be able to independently read, buddy read, or read as a class and discuss how these topics relate to our their lives. I hope that these books will help my students develop a love of reading, much like my own.
