My FFA chapter is full of leaders and students with limitless potential. The members of our chapter all come from diverse backgrounds. There is no FFA member "template." Their interest vary, from livestock, leadership, welding, horticulture, to public speaking. It's a melting pot of FFA passions!
YOGOWYPI - "You Only Get Out What You Put In" - this is the motto my FFA members live by.
It pushes us to do our best, set our expectations high, and achieve our goals.
As an FFA advisor and agricultural education teacher, it is my job to make sure students understand the significance of animals in our world. It is important to correctly care for animals. An all-encompassing term to describe this is "animal husbandry."
Animal husbandry is the science of breeding and caring for farm animals and it is an important life skill to learn.
From feeding animals correctly, providing proper shelter, to maintaining their skin/fur, I teach students a wide array of skills.
The clippers and sorting panel will provide my "agricultural laboratory" the tools needed to teach the proper care of fur-bearing animals. Specifically, I will teach 4-H and FFA students how to properly groom sheep, goats, pigs, and cattle.
