This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I teach at a Title I school. Many of our students receive free and reduced lunch. Often these students crave interaction with trustworthy adults when they get to school.
Since we have begun practicing social distancing, I have continued to keep a strong relationship with my students as much as possible.
I continue to teach live lessons online and make phone calls daily.
My Project
Most of my students are able to complete their work online. The document camera will help me record my word problem of the day. This is where I walk them through the steps of solving a word problem, creating better problem solvers. The dry erase board and markers will make my live lessons more interactive and intense.
A printer will help me reach students that are unable to work online.
By printing out their work, I will be able to mail it to them. Because the printer can also be used as a scanner, it will be beneficial in uploading documents to send to parents.
