My Students

I teach at a smaller school that has a largely free and reduced-price lunch population. We seek to prepare each and every student for college, even if they do not intend to go. At least we know that if they change their mind at any point in their life, they are set. Our school is open to anyone in our state, so we have students from all backgrounds, from rural settings where they drive over an hour each way to urban settings. Our school is downtown and thus, we get many students that live closer to the building.

My Project

Each year at the end of each semester, my school has symposium classes. These classes are all day and run for 6 days each. It is my hope to start to offer a crafting class that will focus on different crafts that students can easily make and that they could sell. The course will go over Etsy and sales along with online marketing. It will also teach a wide variety of crafts including mittens, jewelry, ceramics, stickers, clip art or sketchbooks, and more! However, for the craft to happen I will have to have items available for my students to make their crafts with. Thank you for considering donating to this project.
