My Students
My students are creative individuals who strive to become independent artists with original ideas. These small artists have great minds that are full of so many wonderful ideas. The students are very smart and will thrive in a classroom that promotes more choices. By having more diversified supplies, my students can become even better artists. My students live in a rural community that is very supportive in every way. My goal is to give them every opportunity to be successful.
My Project
I teach in a Title One school where the budget is very limited to provide the students with a variety of materials. My students would greatly benefit from these materials to transition them into a TAB (Teaching Artistic Behaviors) style classroom. In this type of setting, students will be guided to create art that is more meaningful and original. Another benefit is how engaged students tend to be in this type of setting. Engagement is key in creating successful artists. Please help my students be able to create art in new ways!
