This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Technology is so important in education. It has a prominent place in my kindergarten classroom. My students love technology! They use technology in many different ways. Desktops, l, and iPads are effective tools for teaching and learning.
I have an enthusiastic and happy group of 20 students who love technology.
Our school is located in the southeast corridor of East Atlanta. We currently serve about 260 students in grades prekindergarten through fifth. We are a Title I school. Many of the children receive free or reduced price lunch.
My Project
I use technology to introduce many lessons. I have two working iPads and four desktop computers for student use, but two are usually broken. I have a laptop that I can't rely on and a Promethean Board. Using technology in the classroom can be both frustrating and fun. However, having more technology will assist with grouping my students by their individual learning needs. I can provide more targeted and focused instruction to my students, while exposing them to modern technology in the classroom. It doesn't matter whether or not the students are advanced, struggling, or on level, they can work at their own pace. This will allow them to learn and share their understanding in a variety of ways.
Technology in the classroom can help develop students' curiosity, problem solving, and independent skills.
It allows them to think about information and make choices. The students are more excited to learn when technology is integrated into my lessons.
