My Students

My class is located in an urban school district and almost all of the students qualify for free lunch. The students come to school every day looking forward to learning new information. They ask questions and are hoping to improve in all their subjects throughout the day. My students are eager to learn this school year.

Many of my students participate in the backpack program, which sends them home with food over the weekend.

The students received school supplies from local businesses to start off the school year and you could see their excitement and big smiles. I know they would appreciate these new tools in our classroom that would help them become better students and improve learning.

My Project

The students in my class need the 5th grade material bundle from Lakeshore to learn the curriculum. I have been teaching 6th grade for the last 13 years and now have moved to teach 5th grade. It is a very exciting move and I can't wait to dive into the 5th grade curriculum. It is important that the students and I have all the materials needed for learning to occur.

This donation would allow my students to learn through centers and games, while reading exciting non-fiction articles at their grade level.

This new material in the 5th Grade Bundle will help me motivate the students to learn in Science, Social Studies, and Literacy.
