I am Science teacher at P.S.6 in Staten Island. My colleague and I service about 260 students a day and each of us are in 5 classrooms a day. When we go from classroom to classroom we need to have our equipment and materials with us. We have a tin cart that is not really suitable for our students needs. The cart does not hold much and makes a racket when we walk down the hallway. We need a cart that has accessible storage. When our students need something we can have it for them right away. The carts we are asking for have three wire racks for holding big books,4 tubs for holding supplies and materials , a dry erase-magnetic board. These carts are like rolling classrooms. It will beneficial to our students if we had these carts and would make the experience for the students less hectic.
