My Students

My students are wonderful! Aren't they all? I teach on the island of Maui, Hawaii. My students are particularly interested in the environment and live a geographically rich life connected to the ocean and mountains surrounding us. If there ever was a group of students that want to help "Save the Earth", it is these kids.

The people of Hawaii are immersed in the culture and my students show reverence and a true love of learning.

We are somewhat isolated from the mainland USA and the rest of the world for that matter, so it is becoming increasingly important to me to make my lessons relevant and connect to real-world circumstances. We know knowledge is power and they are ready for it.

My Project

Aloha! I have been teaching for almost 15 years and I have spent so much of my own money on my classroom through the years. When the website Teachers Pay Teachers came out it was an actual godsend. Creative and amazing teachers can post their created lessons and activities and share them with the world and make extra money too. I have purchased many files over the years with my own funds. I am so excited about the potential relief of having a gift card to purchase curriculum that we need.
