Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are located in one of the elementary schools in our district. The students are in pre-k through 8th grade. Every spring I get to work with all the students in the building with technology integration and fun programs. In the spring we focus on building the school community, starting around Read Across America Week.

Currently we are 100% virtual but enjoy coming together on our meets to see each other.

My students would normally walk to school, and live in the surrounding areas. They miss being able to interact with each other in person.

My Project

Creativity is not my strong point, hence why I am a math teacher. My students love to do creative fun activities now more then ever since we are 100% virtual. Using Teachers Pay Teachers we will find fun resources and worksheets.

Being all virtual cute, fun themed worksheets are super important since we use Kami to edit them.

There are chapters of resources that I can get for my students. Some of the resources are even adapted to Google Slides so they integrate seamlessly with our Google Classroom. The resources are intertwined with our normal curriculum so students are entertained while doing work.
