Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My first graders are growing and learning! They love to work hard and to explore, discover and learn. They began in-person school this year after learning online via Google Meet for over a year. Most of these students missed out on hands-on learning due to Covid-19 shutdowns. I want to provide a fun and safe learning environment for my students. Our Title I school is located in the heart of Las Vegas and my students need stability now more than ever.
All students deserve the best learning experience possible and I would like to support my students any way I can.
My Project
I am requesting a "Teachers Pay Teachers" gift card to purchase digital books, interactive math activities, and literacy activities. These materials will be used both in our classroom and at home when first graders use their Chromebooks.
Allowing students to use these TPT resources to practice reading and math at home on their Chromebooks will help them to close the achievement gap.
Teachers Pay Teachers offers a variety of digital books and creative resources ready for purchase that I will use with my first graders. Online learning can be frustrating for 6 year olds and they deserve access to a variety of books and activities.
My purchases at TpT will provide engaging online learning resources created by teachers for teachers to promote student success.
