Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade, and all have a learning disability. My students are diverse in many ways, including ethnically and economically. My students are all unique in their own ways, and they make my job fun and enjoyable.
"If a child cannot learn in the way we teach, we should teach in the way the child can learn." -Dr. Lovaas.
This statement from Dr. Lovaas expresses my teaching philosophy. I aim to make my classroom a fun and positive learning environment for my students. I recognize that they all learn in different ways, and it is my job as an educator to help teach them in those different ways. I aim to help meet their educational and behavioral needs.
My Project
This project will is for a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card to help provide a plethora of resources for my students across all academic areas. I have students with disabilities and their ability levels are all different, which makes it more important for me to differentiate my teaching to help meet their individual needs. By having access to the resources on TPT, this will help me be able to provide those resources and materials that will help my students be successful across English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science.
