Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are in grades nine through twelve, plus additional years of vocational-transition (ages 15-21). We are a small, public school tucked away in the beautiful mountains. We are avid outdoor adventurers, and our lessons are geared towards Community-Based Vocational Instruction (CBVI).
My Project
These materials are perfect for my students. A Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) gift card will give me the opportunity to purchase differentiated lessons and activities. I teach the high school Special Education Special Talents' Life Skills class and am the Transition Coordinator. My students have the opportunity to stay in school until the age of 21, based on their special abilities.
TPT has the best lessons created by teachers who have been there, done that, and their experience shows through their innovative and creative lessons.
I will be searching for lessons that revolve around transitioning into adulthood, independent living skills, vocational skills and community access skills. There are so many to choose from and this gift certificate will definitely get used, immediately.
