Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 2nd grade students this year are resilient and up for any challenge! Although we are currently learning online, this class of 30 remains curious and positive. Each child gets a thrill from sharing and collaborating with peers.

My students love using tech in our classroom, seamlessly utilizing edu apps like Seesaw, Google Classroom, Nearpod and Adobe Spark.

One of their favorite ways to review is through friendly competitions on Kahoot and Gimkit.

This class enjoys trying new things and have learned to take academic risks. Now more than ever, these 2nd graders show support to one another and maintain growth mindsets amidst all the uncertainty.

My Project

For further enrichment and support, I would like to provide students with resources they can use during in-person instruction while we cannot share materials in class. Some resources include digital files of games and activities that we would normally be able to use during a regular school day. This might look like digital math centers or digital resources, like leveled readers and SCOOT activities.

Since they are in-person for school (but can't share materials), these resources would come in handy and might further engage my students in their learning.
