My students need a variety of hands on learning materials and differentiated curriculum to support the wide range of interests and abilities in my classroom!

Making learning hands-on and exciting is an everyday goal in my classroom. Teaching a classroom of ELL students is an amazing and challenging experience. Every word and experience is completely new and assists them on building the background knowledge they desperately need to succeed.
Studies show building a solid foundation in dual languages not only helps students make connections to build their second language but also helps them find success on standardized testing.
Our students are brave, curious and quick to observe all things put in front of them. That is why I strive to ensure every thing put in front of them is quality. Due to our high level of poverty and lack of access of technology, I feel like it is my duty to give them those experiences that will build their curiosity and put them on the path to becoming life long learners!
Each year students come in to our classrooms with a wide range of abilities and prior knowledge. It is crucial that we are able to go beyond the current district provided curriculum to reach and engage students below, on and above grade level.
Utilizing Teachers Pay Teachers will not only support 125 students, but also the teachers creating the lessons and materials!
We are in need of games, lessons and activities that will extend beyond the First Grade materials we have to pull up struggling students and push high scoring students. Together working as a team; teachers, and students would both benefit from your very generous support!
