My Students

I teach a wonderful group of 3rd graders in a rural community. We are a Title I school, and 90% of my class receives free or reduced lunch. Our building is 100 years old and our county has an aged infrastructure. We are always looking for new ways to stretch our resources to benefit our children.

Technology is the future and we are hard-pressed to keep up with the times.

Our children are eager for opportunities to interact with technology and I would like to provide those opportunities.

My Project

My students need my full attention, and when I am using our interactive whiteboard as a display screen for a document camera, I have to sit with my back to them. I would love to be able to stand to face them and interact more while modeling whole group activities with the document camera.

I want to utilize our available technology to its fullest potential and this cart will help me do that.

Our school does not have a lot of resources but the interactive whiteboards we DO have are wonderful. If I could face my students, I would increase engagement, reduce behavior issues and maximize instruction time.
