This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Exploring, hands-on activities, centers, and fun is the way I imagine teaching and learning in a Pre-kinder classroom. But what happens when students don't have the materials to meet these needs.
Most of my students come from a low-income households and deserve to come to a classroom that is able to meet their needs.
They are special because they come to school every day with the willingness to learn. They show a determination that most adults don't have and they bring a joy to the class that would melt your heart.
My Project
Can you imagine sitting on top of someone else because there is not enough space for you? Well recently this has become an issue in my classroom, which is great news because it means we are growing from year to year but, in a Pre-k Classroom, life would be chaos without order and organization, this year I have 24 pre-k students and we have out grown our rug which makes our morning meeting and whole group learning times very difficult . My students need a morning meeting rug where they each have a space to sit in.
My goal is to create a learning environment that they students will love and be able to do their best in.
