My Project

I teach special education to some pretty amazing 4th and 5th grade students in a Title I district. My students have learning disabilities in the areas of reading, writing and math.

This project will help me to organize my teaching materials to be a more effective teacher.

The requested bookshelf will help me to keep all my teacher materials and teacher manuals organized. I try to be organized but at the end of the day, I still find myself forgetting a worksheet or lesson I was supposed to teach during one of my intervention blocks.

With all the craziness of unexpected events that happen in the classroom while students who are struggling to understand the concept; I have so much on my mind that I forget about a certain worksheet or lesson that can be used to support my teaching and delivery of a lesson.

The bookshelf will help me organize my teacher manuals, weekly activities, and the worksheets I will give to students to do after teaching a lesson. Providing an organized classroom will allow me to quickly obtain learning materials and optimize instructional time.
