Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students come from a low income based community. They have an inspiring zeal for learning and I am challenged each day to continue to grow with them. My students have so many different learning styles, and I want to meet each child's needs in order to set them up for success in their lives. My third graders are precious gems and they respond to different and innovative pedagogy and teaching styles in a most encouraging way. All students deserve the best!
My Project
I am in need of a Chromebook because my students have inspired me to continue my education by pursuing a Master's Degree in Education with Specialization in Best Practices and Leadership. My online classes start on January 8th, and I am super excited! My students inspire me on a daily basis with their zeal for learning. I have always been a believer that as an educator you must never stop learning. We need to grow with time, technology, and seasons in order to offer our best to our students. I am taking a leap of faith to pursue this degree as I am taking out a loan for this $20,000 investment. I am believing that this is a worthy investment in my career and my students. Some things (especially students) are worth the sacrifice. I will need a good working laptop to be able to take these classes. I don't have the immediate funds to purchase one, but I am hopeful that I can raise the funds to pursue my dreams, reach my goal, and bring back to my classroom all of the best practices acquired through this degree program.
