Teacher is a life long learner
I need to further my learning in technology in order to expose my students to new and highly engaging learning activities
My students are all amazing. They are all special education students with many challenges. However, they always do their best. They are very excited to come back to school. They usually don’t like long breaks. They enjoy learning. They have great senses of humor and are wonderful artists. My students are working on reading, writing, and math. They are excited to read. I can see how excited they get when they are able to read a passage, which was once troublesome for them, with ease. My students are all preparing to take the state test this spring with accommodations.
I hope to create lessons which incorporate technology in order to create engaging lessons for my students. I would also like to learn and be trained on how to use the tools Google has to offer. I would like to use the test and quizzes to help me check for understanding of learned material and individual goals/objectives. This will also enable me as the teacher to use less paper and give my students an opportunity to use a computer on a regular basis. I would like to also show my students that you can always learn new material even if you are the teacher.
