This is my 13th year teaching at the best "little school in the hood that could," as my principal says. We are high poverty and high minority school. Even though my students may not always have a lot, they do not let that stop them from learning. They always come into my classroom eager and excited to learn.
They are constantly giving me hugs and writing me notes to tell me how much they love school.
I never want this joy and excitement for education to stop. That's why I need to keep finding new ways to keep them motivated and on task. They have so much energy and enthusiasm. I just want to see it channeled in the right way.
I teach first grade at a high poverty school and this mobile teaching easel provides everything I need to be successful during whole group instruction. At the beginning of the year we read big books. I need somewhere where I can place the books so students can see the pages as I read. I also need to be able to write on the board and use magnetic letters. This easel allows me to do all of theses things. It even has two dry erase sides, and one of those sides has lines. The best part is the fact that it can role around the room and has space to put containers underneath. This is a teacher's dream!
