My school is a Title I School and like many other schools across the county, most of the children come from low income, poverty-stricken homes. Each and every child receives breakfast and lunch daily at no cost. Many live in low-income housing, hotels, and some are even in shelters. For many in my class, English is their second language and some have special needs. With that being said, they all love to come to school and want to learn. They deserve all the resources and fun we can give them.
While I haven't met my students for the coming school year, I know that they will be an amazing group of kids that need every advantage they can get.
These kiddos will come in the door ready to learn and have fun. They will laugh, cry, hug, giggle, play, and learn all in one place: their classroom. Therefore, I am eager and ready to help each of them have the very best kindergarten experience ever!
My Project
These are just the basic items needed to start a school year on a good note. Supplies such as folders, binder clips and paper clips will help my kids better organize their work. The ink and laminating pouches will help print and then care for their special projects and work. The chart paper will be used for anchor charts and interactive writing. Post-its and clipboards for individualized instruction and hot glue and tape for hanging those charts and projects on the wall!
By having these items ready and available on the first day of school, my students, their families, nor I will feel the anxiety of being unprepared.
While these are not expensive items, they are necessary items. Thank you for supporting education and especially my amazing kids!
