Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

In this project, I am asking for a variety of pencils, erasers, hats, holiday headbands, and holiday gift bags to complete my holiday gift for each of my students. My idea is that every student will be able to pick multiple pencils and erasers to keep inside their desks as well as take home to complete homework. They can also pick their own fun holiday headband to enjoy in school as we lead up to the holiday break. These beanie hats students choose from match the gloves (previously funded project) that will be a part of their gift. Lastly, students will need bags to put all of their goodies in.

Each year, our school gets a surprise visit from "Santa" from a generous company that gives every student a present.

This year, I would like to give my students a little present to show how much they mean to me and to bring them joy before the winter break after Santa leaves school. This project will help to finish my goal and give my students a bag to put their gifts in to take home over the holiday break. They will be able to keep the hats and use them throughout winter now that the weather is starting to get cold. The holiday headbands will be given to begin celebrating the upcoming holiday break. The pencils and erasers will be kept in school or in their school bags to use for homework. Each student will be able to pick at least 2 pencils and erasers.
