Ms. Rouse from Memphis TN is requesting professional development through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
I need access to Angela Watson's 40 Hour Teacher Workweek to help me become a more productive and effectual instructor.

I work in a rather unique school environment. Not only do my kids have diverse backgrounds and, of course, academic levels of achievement, but ALL of them have either been expelled from their home schools or recently transitioned out of juvenile corrections facilities. That being said, streamlining, differentiating, and time management are crucial for my kids’ success.
I believe all students deserve an ever-learning, adaptable, and organized teacher no matter their histories.
However, a school setting like mine is typically hard on staff and the kids suffer. With a constantly changing roster of students who have varying academic and social needs, the only guaranteed constant is me. That small bit of predictability provides many of my students with enough security to continue developing and learning in my class.
Entering this profession less than a year ago, I knew I would don many hats and become invested in my students’ success, not just in the classroom but holistically. However, it is possible to become hyper-vigilant to the point of ineffectiveness and burnout. Although it is expected for teachers to work well after the bell rings, figuring out how much time I truly need is proving to be challenging.
After reading many books, blog posts, and pursuing professional development opportunities, I stumbled upon Angela Watson’s online workshop, The 40-Hour Teacher Workweek.
I am convinced this workshop will make me a more balanced instructor now and in the years to come.
