Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach students who have a love for technology. We have been granted 45 tablets over the past two years. I would like to learn about how to use these devices to their maximum potential. My students are always using the tablets for basic typing and research purposes. I want them to be able to do more.

Being able to attend workshops that will help me become a better teacher are what I need.

I want my students to learn innovative ways to use technology in class.

My Project

I have started traveling all over the country to attend different professional developments. I want to be able to take this tablet with me everywhere that I go. I am always trying to earn new things to do with my students. My students currently have a class set of iPads.

I want to also get my own tablet so that I can take it with me to various iPad/Apple Education professional developments.

There are various leveled classes at the Apple store in my city. They offer courses every week to help teachers learn how to use their devices. The Apple Education workshops are geared towards educators and will help me learn how to incorporate technology in my classroom.
