This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
This year, I have a homeroom filled with students ready and eager to learn. I have a great bunch of fifth-grade students that are ready to go.
My focus is on getting everyone organized and ready to learn every day when they walk into my classroom.
We have some challenges with supplies because of economic status, but we are going to forge on anyhow. We are Title I, but we aren't out of the game. With hard work and determination, we are going to be successful this year.
My Project
With a Chromebook, my students will have better technology for everyday use. Students frequently work in small groups, and these five Chromebooks will be perfect for group work on math and science skills and games, or listening centers for reading practice.
I like to teach my students how to use presentation software for student-led conferences and class reports.
We can use the Chromebooks for small group work in learning new software as well. At the second grade level, students need to be comfortable using Chromebooks in order to do their best on school tests, as well, so it is even more important for students to use Chromebooks every day.
