My Students
My students are unique in their own ways! My students have special needs that make learning in a typical learning environment difficult. However, they work hard to make progress everyday!
Even though learning can be challenging for my students they continue to persevere!
The school I work in is located in a small rural community in Minnesota. The staff at the school are united in providing all students with a quality education and work tirelessly to achieve the common goal of student success.
My Project
My students are working towards being independent in their learning. Through the use of TEACCH work/task boxes my students are able to practice previously learned skills independently.
Currently we are using a bookshelf to store our TEACCH boxes and have to stack multiple boxes on top of each other.
My students struggle with pulling their box out without dropping the other boxes. The Carolina Line 25-Bin Storage cart would allow students easy access to their materials and increase their independence.
The storage cart will improve organization throughout my classroom and will allow the focus of the TEACCH boxes to be on independence.
