My Students
My students are some of the sweetest, hardest working children you will ever meet. Despite the many obstacles life has thrown their way, they show up excited and eager to learn each day. They're ready to give their best, and I meet them head-on with challenges to help them grow and develop into exceptional students, friends, and leaders!
My students need materials that meet their wide range of developmental abilities.
Our school is a Title I school. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. An entire wing of our school is dedicated to pre-k to fifth-grade children with various special needs. I have the joy of teaching our Pre-k to 2nd-grade students with intellectual disabilities. These present themselves in many ways. I am so appreciative of the many generous DonorsChoose.org supporters who help me bring exciting new materials into my classroom for my children!
My Project
My extraordinary students all have individualized education plans in place to help them develop specific areas. These include not only educational goals, but also daily living skills.
Individualized task boxes will allow my students to work on their specific goals and necessary skills independently.
The plastic storage containers will be used for each individual activity. My children will know which shelf is theirs, what tasks to work on, and in what order they will work on them thanks to the multi-colored lids. The curtain clip rings and shower curtain will cover the storage boxes when they are not in use.
