Help me give my students 6 (lite) volleyballs to learn the basics in sport of volleyball. These volleyball are excellent for young players who are just starting out in the sport.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach physical education in a K-4 school in Lowell, MA. My student-athletes are refugees and non-native language speakers that are learning and exploring new sports. I teach a population of over 500 students throughout the school year. More than half of my students live at or below the poverty line within this inner-city school district. We have a population of special needs, autistic students and students on IEP with special needs that would benefit from visual leaning devices. All of my students come to PE with a positive mind, eager to learn and try new skills and movements.
My Project
Not having a single volleyball in the sports closet of my school was extremely disappointing as a coach and physical education teacher. These inner city kids have never been exposed to this sport at school. Across the street from our school, is an outdoor sand volleyball court that students have access to in the summer. As a volleyball coach, I want to create an after school volleyball club to teach students who are interested about this fun sport.
I have confidence that once my students have the basic knowledge of the sport whilst using these 6 volleyball (lites), they will not hesitate to participate in positive outdoor activities that will enhance the community, outside of the school environment.
My students show a great interest in all things sports related. Sports can be the greatest equalizer. I look forward to equalizing the playing field, by enhancing their lives with these volleyballs.
