My students need tap shoes and performance outfits. I want to start a collection of tap shoes and dance outfits that can be used in class every year.

My dance students are so energetic. They give me energy that last throughout the whole day. I am a Theatre Arts teacher who became certified in dance and taught my first beginner tap and jazz class last year. I had a wonderful time teaching and engaging those awesome and new students!
They were enthusiastic about learning tap and jazz, and they made each day enjoyable to teach.
Unfortunately, only half were able to purchase their much needed tap shoes, but even without the proper foot wear they genuinely tried to learn the steps. We made it through the year because of their willingness to keep trying!
My Project
Having proper foot wear in a tap class makes ALL the difference. Without the tap shoes, my students couldn't know for sure if they were making the proper sounds while they danced. They could mimic the dance moves but neither I nor they could tell if they were actually creating the sounds that their classmates, with tap shoes, were making. Out of the 15 dancers in my class, only 7 were able to purchase their tap shoes. The students without tap shoe still did their best, but the experience was not the same. With a collection of tap shoe on hand in class, no one will ever have to dance without proper foot wear.
