My Students

My students are creative and use their creativity to express themselves. They are resilient learners who seek challenge and readily embrace world cultures.

My students are energetic, inquisitive, and engaged learners.

They love working with hands-on manipulatives, finding creative ways to explore world cultures, and taking ownership of their own learning. They are excited to learn! Most of my students live in low-income homes and work after school or on the weekends to help support their families. They are as dedicated to their learning as they are to their families. They are an amazing group of students!

My Project

In this Donors Choose project, I have included a wide range of classroom resources that will be used, in one way or another, in every classroom project or activity that I do with my students.

It is overwhelming the amount of resources that are required for a truly functional classroom!

Because the majority of my students live in poverty, many have a mindset that they cannot achieve the same goals as other students. By providing all of the resources that they may ever need to accomplish a project or activity in my class, they will have a levelized playing field to accomplish all sorts of classroom goals. Things like pencils, markers, folders, poster boards, etc. are not always easy to come by when day to day necessities can't even be met at home. Please help me provide the necessary supplies that my students need to be high achievers in my class!
