Help me give my students the opportunity to experience the hands-on theme boxes that include activities that broaden their curriculum by utilizing manipulative that provide a tangible sense of each concept.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have the privilege of working with 19 wonderful, energetic, and ambitious 4/5-year-old students every day. Our school holds one of our district's Pre-K classes available to the families.
In our room, we focus on the learning process by utilizing social-emotional learning, hands-on learning, and purposeful play.
We also work on skills to help us develop social and emotional skills through purposeful play, conflict resolution, and communication.
We will work on writing our own names and identifying letters, numbers, counting, and shapes within our literacy and math approach. Lastly, we will be able to be creative by expressing our own ideas and engaging in dramatic play.
My Project
It has been proven that preschool (ages 4-5) students learn best through hands-on experiences. Providing tangible opportunities such as kinetic sensory sand, tempera paint, painting stencils, and water marbles are just some of the materials that can obtain this.
The Theme Boxes are a great way to allow students both tangible and tactile learning experiences.
They will provide the students with the chance to enhance education with props, manipulative and self-expression.
The selected items will support the students to strengthen their fine motor development. These items will guide preschoolers ways to learn communication, mastery, concentration, and commitment to finishing tasks and problem-solving skills.
