I am blessed with 28 of the most wonderful little humans! My 28 10-year-olds fill our little portable with ideas, excitement, stories, laughter and JOY. Coming to school to see their bright faces is the highlight of each day. They are all so excited to work together, and accomplish new goals and dreams. As the grade level math teacher, I get to teach two math classes, each with 25 students. They LOVE to use technology in the classroom and are motivated by new and exciting methods of learning.
My Project
I was blessed to be announced a funded teacher by the Grant "Wishes for Teachers" by The Fiesta Bowl. I can't wait to purchase new materials, toys, technology, programs, etc., for my 5th grade classroom! These items will do so much for these amazing 10 year olds and make learning even MORE fun! A lot goes into teaching, and making a classroom flow with enough resources, materials, manipulatives, etc... and this year we will be able to receive everything that we need!
My students will be able to use flexible seating to help keep their minds more alert and focused, manipulatives to practice their skills and topics in mathematics, and will now have access to so many new books.
The books will be available to them at all times in the classroom and will hopefully inspire them to read more and love to read and check out literature. We also will be able to use the school supplies to create crafts, projects, and complete every day assignments. I am so grateful to be among the 200 teachers that were chosen.
