This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Don't make our students be not-so-happy heartbreakers! Help us get books from the Dork Diary book series by Rachel Renee Russell for our elementary school library. Our library books are required to be from Bound to Stay books. Our students love, love, love the Dork Diaries books. They absolutely love the adventures of middle-school drama queen Nikki Maxwell and we cannot keep her books on our bookshelves. Adding these books to our library will give more of our students the opportunity experience this wonderful book series. These books will also give our students more choices when they come to the library. New book choices also build vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension.
