My students are hard workers. I teach 8th grade English Language Arts at a charter school in a high-risk community.

My students like to apply their thinking to the projects I assign. In an effort to prepare them for the world, I try my best to do things on a digital level. While we have a computer lab at my school, it is used by many classes, and often students' work is lost. Additionally, it's hard for students to get access to their files to do work on other computers. I have seen frustration develop when a student has to start a project over, or cannot put in the care they'd like because of limited access to their work that is stored on locked up computer.

If my student's had flash drives, they could store their files and move from computer to computer. They would be able to stay after school and use classroom computers or they could take their work home and work on it there. Most importantly, their work would be safe in their own hands - no more lost or deleted files!

As a donor to this project you will enable my students to develop their 21st century skills. With their increased access to technology, your donations toward these flash drives will allow them create the projects they really want. There is the wonderful potential of having a paperless classroom! Thank you for supporting my students and giving them something special.
