My students are sweet, polite, hard-working, and often overlooked by the rest of our neighboring communities. These wonderful students often need some extra love and attention from our entire teaching staff at our overpopulated high school. Our students have all been labeled with a not-so-great reputation because of the city they live in. This falsely accused "poor" reputation couldn't be further from the truth. I see passion, honesty, integrity, engagement, focus, and hard work every day from these under-served students who want to better themselves through their education.
The students of my yearbook class have been busily working on capturing our school year. We have over 2,700 students at this school, and the goal of creating yearbooks is to include every student in the book 3 times! The task is difficult, but my students are dedicated.
In an effort to include as many people as possible, our yearbook staff really needs another camera to sign out and cover sporting games, other events, or just look at daily life from a different perspective.
Many students do not have a quality camera to take photos with, and we need another option for students to be able to complete their best work.
