Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students I work with are energetic and continue to delight me every day with their efforts. Our school serves a diverse population of students that includes a high percentage of ELL students. We are also a Title 1 charter public school.
These students excel in hands-on, engaging activities, and deserve more resources available to them.
A high percentage of our school receives free and reduced lunch. Many of my students have younger and older siblings at our school, as we are kinder through 8th-grade charter school.
My Project
Having 5 kindles in our classroom will give students a fresh and exciting way to practice the content that we are learning in Math and science.
By donating to our project, you will not only help students enjoy the opportunity to use technology, increase focus and attention, but also increase their academic achievement.
Having Kindles, along with headphones for them to use, will allow me to show them fun ways to learn and will allow me to offer options that I am not able to provide right now. Your donation will allow them to be able to interact with an updated technology, that will increase their math, and ultimately their literacy skills, as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology!
