My Students

Having strong computer skills is the wave of the future; let's help students get to the future, today!

My Kindergarten through 8th grade school currently serves over 700 students who reflect the demographics of the surrounding region.

Children who develop typically, children with special needs and children who are gifted learn side-by-side in the same classroom. We are always striving to design our lessons so that ALL students are able to access the curriculum and be engaged in every class activity.

My Project

Having laptops in the classroom will make a huge difference in how students will be able to access curriculum and complete their work. There are several students in my class who use technology as their primary means for completing their work, and laptops will allow them to easily complete assignments, share their files with teachers, conduct research, and create projects. Laptops also have a screen and keyboard in one which eliminates the need to deal with Bluetooth devices that often don’t work or require frequent battery changes. Students who use technology to complete their assignments can easily share files through programs like DropBox and GoogleDocs and, as a teacher, this will make it much easier for me to monitor their work and to share necessary files/information with them.
