Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Broken Arrow, Oklahoma is home to some of the most amazing students. Since I have moved here in 2020, I have been welcomed with open arms by staff and students alike. I could not have asked for a more welcoming environment while moving through a pandemic.
The students have not only been impacted by the coronavirus at home, but school has shifted from in-person to at-home learning on more than a few occasions, which is why I feel that we need to provide a safe place for them to explore new horizons.
The students at Vanguard Academy are always willing to go outside their comfort zone, and if we can give them a place to safely explore the future of technology, we have done our job correctly.
My Project
The time we spend in class has never been more precious. As we are transitioning out of this pandemic, we are noticing many students come back with a different outlook on life.
While we understand the times have been difficult, we would also like to push innovation forward.
That is why with these flight simulators, we will be able to take control of our lives and glide into some of the most memorable experiences. We will be using the extensive knowledge gained through these machines and take them to the real world. We will be understanding perspective through flight and aeronautics, then heading out together to fly our very own gliders!
